PDI GovernForward / Handoff

Close the project.
Open the next chapter.

A practical handoff from Informatica’s 66-PSU CDGC MVP – or an equivalent accepted baseline – to continuing PDI managed governance. Review the MVP reference (opens in a new tab).

The start plan

A deliberate transition.
Not a restart.

Dates and responsibilities are agreed during qualification. Onboarding supports the existing baseline; it is not a new MVP implementation.

  1. 01 / Before commitment

    Qualify the fit

Review licenses, inventory, scan workload, owners and support needs. Agree the year-one growth envelope and name any prerequisites.

  2. 02 / Joint handoff

    Accept the baseline

Reconcile assets, access, documentation and known issues. Confirm the service lead, escalation routes and acceptance authority.

  3. 03 / First service month

    Establish the rhythm

Validate operations and choose the first ready release. Onboarding runs alongside – not automatically instead of – monthly build and testing.

  4. 04 / Then, every quarter

    Keep the plan current

Review adoption, ownership, support load and the roadmap. Confirm that planned growth stays within the agreed envelope.

Your local readiness checklist

Bring the catalog.
Bring the context.

Mark the materials you have ready. Your summary updates as you go. This is a preparation aid – not an eligibility decision, service acceptance or a submission to PDI.

What is ready for the handoff?

Checklist selections live only in this page’s memory. Refreshing or leaving resets them. No names, email addresses, files or other personal data are collected or sent.

Keep the first conversation practical

Three decisions to leave with.

Is the baseline a fit?
Ready for the package, ready after named prerequisites, or better served by a separately scoped engagement.

What will the service own?
The managed inventory, supported user group, business-hours calendar, operational workload and year-one growth envelope.

What is the next useful release?
A prioritized set of ready deliverables, a named approver and a definition of done that includes testing and handover.

No automatic purchase. No production access by default. Start with a scope conversation.

Ready to plan the handoff?

Take your summary to PDI and discuss the accepted baseline, open items and the first monthly release.
