PDI IDQ Analyzer — an estimate before a decision.
The assess stage of the data quality modernization path. A no-cost read of your own IDQ estate: your administrator runs a native Informatica export, and PDI returns a complete object inventory tiered by what converts automatically, plus a firm fixed-price conversion estimate.
Scope
No cost, for one Model Repository.
That is the boundary — one repository, one environment, covering every project inside it. Additional repositories are scoped separately. No commercial condition is attached.
What it reads
A metadata export you produce yourself.
Nothing is installed. No account is provisioned for PDI. No inbound network access is required. The export contains object definitions only — profile configurations, rule logic, transformation structures, and assignments. No business data leaves your environment.
In regulated institutions that distinction is usually the difference between a security review measured in days and one measured in quarters.
# Run once per project in the Model Repository.
# Run from the Informatica services installation directory if the
# project contains reference tables.
infacmd tools exportObjects -dn <domain> -un <user> -pd <password> \
-sdn <security_domain> \
-pn <project_name> \
-rs <model_repository_service> \
-f <output_file.xml>The password can be supplied through the INFA_DEFAULT_DOMAIN_PASSWORD environment variable instead of on the command line. Profile execution results are not required because conversion operates on profile definitions.
What it returns
An inventory, a tiering, and a number.
- A complete object inventoryProfiles, rules, rule-to-profile assignments, and transformations broken out by type.
- Three-way tiering on every objectConverts automatically today; manual conversion until the October release; or structural rework required.
- A firm, fixed-price estimateWith a delivery timeline, priced against your actual mix rather than an assumed one.
If a metadata export cannot be produced, a supervised read-only session against the Model Repository Service is available as an exception path.
Next step
The command, and ten minutes per project.
Send the export and PDI returns the inventory and the estimate. No business data leaves your environment. No software is installed. No commitment is attached.
